The Sandman ⏳🧞♂️
The Sandman, coming from European folklore, is an entity responsible for leaving behind the “sand after sleep” in the eyes. Rheum.
Muse of many songs and songs about songs about dreams, Sandman has had multiple versions. Characters such as Marvel’s Dream & Nightmare or Marvel’s Sandman (uncoupled from the lore). And of course DC & Neil Gaiman’s Dream.
We spend 1/3rd of our lives dreaming to be able to remember and reconcile the remaining 2/3rd. It stands to reason we give a little more time to it as was said and done in Netflix’s The Sandman (after 30 years of ‘Development Hell’), starring Oneiros the namesake for Oneirology: The study of dreams.
